Happy St. Patty’s Day to All!

gnatstpats.jpg
st.pattysday 001.jpgHappy St. Patrick’s Day to all, even if you only have a wee bit o’ Irish blood in ye. ‘Tis a good day to drink and be too drunk to go to work the next day. However you celebrate, I wish fun and safety to all. Whether you’re just sitting at home dreaming about baseball, or at the local pub enjoying a refreshing lager. Here’s one of my favorite Irish drinking toasts to all my friends in the Blogosphere:

Here’s to a long life and a merry one. A quick death and an easy one. A pretty girl and an honest one. A cold beer–and another one!

Even if you’re as Irish as I, if you’re a baseball fan you must be happy that there’s only a few more weeks until this…

That billboard is fantastic! I know just how that kid feels. Though seeing all of the snow below makes it seem kind of wistful.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you too Mike! *raises her glass* Slainte!

A Sand Gnat in shamrocks – you certainly don’t see that every day! Happy belated St. Patty’s to you!

Kristen-I think I’m more excited than the billboard kid. I can’t wait.
Jeff-the Sand Gnat logo is priceless, and is one of my favorites. The survival kit is a must…
Sue-happy belated St. Patty’s day to you as well.
Thanks for checking in…
–Mike

Observing Baseball

I grew up a Yankee fan, I favor Pitchers whenever possible, I am a stathead, and my dream job is to be a GM for an MLB franchise. In the summer, I go to MLB games and catch baseballs. In the winter, I write about what teams are doing to get better or worse. I try to be positive and unbiased in my writing, but that isn't always possible when evaluating teams truthfully.

The Greatest Minor League Baseball Blog of All Time

This is a very simple game...

You throw the ball. You catch the ball. You hit the ball...Of course, baseball fans know that this line from Bull Durham is far from true, part of the humor of the movie and a huge part of the fun of the game. This blog is a space to talk about baseball, being a baseball fan, all of those things that make the game fun and the Angels, because they make baseball fun for me.
