I was looking around for blogs and I stumbled upon this one. 🙂
I love minor league baseball but rarely attend any games.
Since I live close by I go to Erie Seawolves games (if you know them)
and Akron Aeros games every once in a while.
THe Seawolves have a great stadium:
and I actually played a game there.
It was an all star game for Legion but…
It was great!
Wonderful field – no bad hops at all.
Go Seawolves…. and the Indians.. sigh. =)

Thanks for the kind words. I know the Sea Wolves, as their the AA affiliate of the Tigers. The manager Tom Brookens was on the Tigers ’84 World Series Champ. team and former manager of the Whitecaps. He’s a super nice guy if you get a chance to see him. I’ll be trying to get to Erie and Akron (and maybe Columbus) on one of my trips. Take care.

Go Memphis! I was just talkin’ with my colleague about how we used to go to Whitecaps games when we were going to K-College. What fun! What great spirits to find in Minor League baseball, before the heads get too big 😉

Why did you leave out the Texas League? Where’s the love?

That is some great info you have there. I wonder what the trophy looks like for winning the championship in the minors.

Thanks for the edit. Those days drivin’ back and forth from Kzoo to GR to Holland to Michigan City… well, it’s all a blur from so many years ago.

I love minor league baseball, but I don’t get to watch it as much as I should. This has to be exciting though.
